History

This home is very unique in Oklahoma history. It belonged to the captain of the light horse that was the only law enforcement in the Choctaw Nation during Indian Territory times. The home was built in 1894 and the home was turned over to the historical society in 1967. The Society has restored the home and furnishings of the late 1800s. Peter Conser died in 1934 but his home remained in the Conser family. In 1967 Mrs. Lewis Barnes, a granddaughter of Peter Conser, and her husband, donated the house to the Oklahoma Historical Society. The Society has renovated the house, returning it to its appearance in the Indian Territory period. The interior of the home has been furnished with items reflective of the Conser family's wealth, social position, and the period.

The 6 member team split into groups of 4 and 2. With the 2 member group starting in the upstairs teachers room. Tina started having a “sad” emotional response she then claimed to feel a cold chill and then the emotional feeling went away. Also while upstairs Jennifer felt as if something touched her leg. While downstairs the investigators noticed a short shadow like mass in the dining room area and Daniel said he had seen what looked like a face in the glass. After 30 minutes we switched investigators upstairs with another two, Upstairs nothing was noticed during this time, but downstairs Tina had asked if anything would touch one of them. 15 seconds later Don had seen a shadow moved to under the table towards Tina and she felt like something had jumped onto her lap and “go in” her stomach and up therefore making her feel nauseas. After this point the whole investigation turned very active and there was considerable shadow like movement through out the downstairs of the house. At one point Tina and Jennifer both started with the same sad emotional response as earlier stated but much more severe. After awhile I had sent the girls outside to gather themselves Don and I had stayed in the home to perform an EVP sweep with the 4 other members remaining outside. After we had covered the entire home we went outside and sent Tina, Jennifer and Daniel back into the home to repeat what we had just done. Upon entering the home again, in a flash of light from the camera, Tina had witnessed the face of a woman with a rounded face and deep set eyes right in front of her. She would see this woman again and again in the flashes of the camera. Jennifer would also see the face from time to time as well but not every time. When the three investigators had entered into the dining room area Daniel was taking multiple pictures and the “face” would appear in different areas around the investigators. They called for another investigator to come and Joe came in. Shortly after he did he became real dizzy and we had to remove him from the premises. While in the dining room we had all heard a “pop” sound in the kitchen that sounded like the lantern had moved and the glass inside it had shifted. We continued the investigation for awhile longer and called it due to the time. We never felt threatened and none of us wanted to leave. Tina has never had an emotional response like this on any investigation and was very surprised.

Looks like a face to me.

This pictures shows the height of something that Redd had seen. I had seen something in that same area and about that same height not 10 minutes earlier.

Don had seen a low shadow come into the dining room and under the table just before Tina had felt as if something jumped on her lap and "entered" her body. She said it felt warm and nauseating. and then it went away.

At the top of the stairs Jennifer had experience a moment of anxiety. We asked some questions but received no reply. But as we came downstairs we do get this on my recorder alone.

This one came in the room where Mr. Conser had died in. Right after the EVP Tina experienced a cold chill on her arm
